I am assuming this photo was taken with a wide angle lens? as the hands look un-naturally big...

Would prefere a more standard Focal length to prevent this, maybe 80mm.. and its a portrait so why is it in landscape format? Crop both sides.........

Focus seems to be on the item in the boys hand.. either focus on the boys eyes or smaller F stop to get both the boy and hands in focus...

Dont get me wrong I like the image and the natural expression of happiness of the boys face.. 9+

Well....hard to add more after the detailed comment of an expert photographer as Brian.....agree with him....But the mood is wonderful and is an excellent capture of a lovely moment!!....Love the face of the boy!!!...well done! 9/10
